We have celebrated success at this week’s graduation ceremony held at the Vodafone Events Centre in Manukau. Our new alumni have overcome the challenges of studying during the Covid-19 pandemic to earn their prestigious credentials.
Group CEO Sam Alavi has praised the graduates for persevering and staying on the path. “It isn’t easy studying, passing exams and requirements to pass an academic qualification,” he says. “We all take our hats off to you and relay our deepest congratulations. We look forward to seeing you succeed in the future. If there’s anything we can do for you going forward, please don’t hesitate to ask.”
Student guest speaker Samoa (Levi) Tuiavii congratulated fellow graduates from the NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Social and Community Services) (Mental Health and Addiction Support) (Level 4). “What a massive achievement for you all,” he says. “The Saturday class would often stay back until 9.30 at night to get to where we are today, to succeed in the field of mental health. Give yourself a pat on the back for making it through.”
Samoa thanked families and friends for supporting the learners. “I’d also like to acknowledge all the management and staff at Future Skills Academy who worked behind the scenes and made everything work.”
