Our campuses will be closed on Monday, 6 June to mark the Queen’s Birthday public holiday.
While the sovereign’s actual birthday is 21 April, the date it is commemorated varies as adopted by different countries. In 1748, the Queen’s birthday was first officially recognised in the Kingdom of Great Britain for King George 11. Since then, the date of the king or queen’s birthday has been set throughout the British Empire and the Commonwealth of Nations either by royal proclamations or by local parliament statue laws.
If you are planning a road trip for Queen’s Birthday, take care, watch your following distance and schedule regular breaks from driving. Future Skills Academy would like to wish our staff, students and their families a wonderful and relaxing long weekend.
