Recent ECE graduate Ranisree Swaminathan has already found a job in her industry and is looking forward to further study.
Rani completed her NZ Certificate in Early Childhood Education and Care (Level 3) with us this year. She hopes to study for the NZ Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (Level 5) next year.
In the meantime, she is working as a Reliever at an Early Childhood Education Centre.
She says the knowledge and skills she gained during the programme allowed her to get a job in the sector.
“I got a job very soon after completing the programme. I enjoy my job very much.”
Rani was born and raised in India and taught there for 12 years. She has experience teaching children aged three to 11.
“I love being around kids and I enjoy the company of young children. This is one of my passions.”
When she arrived in New Zealand early this year, she knew she wanted to continue her teaching journey.
“My goal is to become the best teacher I can. I am very new in this country so I would like to learn and get new experiences on my journey of learning,” she says.
Rani thought the NZ Certificate in Early Childhood Education and Care (Level 3) would be a great introduction to the teaching landscape in New Zealand.
“I came from another country but I was quickly able to understand the New Zealand education system. I would like to thank Future Skills and my teacher for giving me this opportunity.”
Rani says giving children the right care and attention allows them to grow mentally, physically, and socially.
“I am very thankful to the Academy for the opportunity to gain much more experience and the knowledge that I need to care for and nurture children.”
Rani says the best thing about her programme was her very supportive teacher.
“Language was a little bit difficult for me because English is my second language. However, the teacher and my friends were very supportive.”
Rani is also thankful to her family for all of their support and encouragement.
