Zaynab Nazar was born and raised in England and completed her studies at the Manchester Metropolitan University.
She completed a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and then went on to graduate with distinction in a Master of Science in Health Psychology. During her master’s degree, Zaynab had the opportunity to shadow a Clinical Psychologist and became a co-author of a research article published in the British Journal of Pain (Compassion focused therapy for pain management).
Zaynab also worked as a support worker/ acting senior at a Brain Injury rehabilitation facility for more than two years while completing her studies in the UK.
She is now in the process of publishing her dissertation project (Building resilience in the rare disease community) which recently sparked interest after being presented at the European Conference of Rare Diseases 2023.
Zaynab moved to New Zealand in April 2023 and chose Future Skills for a change of careers where she could enhance her skills as well as share what she has learned through her studies and previous career experiences.
